It's Gonna Be a Bright, Sunshine-y (Wedding) Day!

This has to be one of my new, favorite color combinations for Spring, Summer, and even Fall!  While I wouldn't immediately think of purple and orange as being a great color combination for the wedding, I absolutely LOVED how this couple used their color palette!   The tables included our purple and crushed sand-colored linens, alternating between which color was swooped on top and which alternating napkin colors were used as well.  While we provided the mirrors, they provided these gorgeous centerpieces!!  Some were shorter (pictured left) with orange slices and bright, sunshine-y flowers, while others were tall (pictured right) with similar types of flowers, but no orange slices.

For their favors, they provided each guest with orange or blackberry Izzies, which looked great on the tables!  They really thought about every element of their wedding and ways to tie the colors and citrus flavors into it!  Their cake was also beautiful, a chocolate, four-tiered creation with a little bit of greenery and orange flowers to brighten the cake up a bit!  We loved being a part of this gorgeous wedding!!

Congratulations to this wonderful couple!  We loved the way you used your beautiful color scheme throughout the room!  What do you all think?  Love it as much as we did?

Sweet DIY Romance!

We had the pleasure of working with a wonderful couple, but the bride in particular was fun because she had so many personal, handmade touches for the wedding ceremony site and reception area!  Before the ceremony, she hung beautiful tissue paper pomanders from the aisle chairs and in the gazebo itself!  We completed the look with our drapings and bows in her colors!  Take a look!  It looked so romantic on that Saturday afternoon!  They also had a wonderful "guest book" where guests could add their fingerprints and sign their names so that they looked like balloons!

The cake display was also really fun because they had mini cupcakes rather than a large cake.  While the guests were each able to grab the various flavors of mini cupcakes, the couple had a larger cupcake in the middle which they cut and shared!  How cute!

The room was beautiful with rose-colored linens interspersed with the blacks.  The centerpieces were all provided and made by the brides, except for the mirrors which are provided by Tapestry House.  She had tall, candelabras with pink tissue paper flowers and feathers as well as little black vases with the same tissue paper flowers.

The patio was also really beautiful as well!  For cocktail hour, they made tissue paper pomanders to hang from the ceiling!  The the bride also made beautiful coffee filter, pink-dyed roses to go under various sized glasses, just like something out of Beauty and the Beast!  This wedding was absolutely beautiful and we were so glad we could be a part of it!  Congratulations to the happy couple!

Designed for Love!

Although it can be difficult to have a lot of DIY details when you have to make them for each and every table at your reception, we love how it all turns out!  This bride have a lot of fun, DIY centerpieces and ideas for the reception site, and it was absolutely beautiful!  For her centerpieces, she made these wrapped mason jars to hold baby's breath flowers and a paper rose or two which she also handmade.  Each mason jar was slightly different in color and material; some were wrapped in ribbons, covered in glitter, or wrapped with colored yarn.  We then provided the mirrors with the lotus bowls and pebbles!  It was fun to see the room come together because each centerpiece had colors that matched, but they were still unique.

Not only were the centerpieces made by the bride, but she also made some beautiful tissue paper pomanders to hang from the ceiling on the patio of the pavilion!  They looked so cool for cocktail hour and numerous guests commented on how great they were!  These may be fairly simple to make, but they make a huge impact and bring your wedding colors to the patio area!

Congratulations to the both of you!  They enjoyed dancing the night away and we wish them that same laughter and happiness that they shared on their wedding day for the rest of their lives!

Blush, Blue and Twinkles: A Perfect Combination!

This recent, creative wedding was so much fun to be a part of!  We are so in love with their color palette and their centerpieces!  Their colors were blush, creme, and gray-blue.  This couple originally met at work!  He was from South Carolina, but transferred to the branch that the bride was working at.  They hit it off right away and are now happily married!  The parents of the groom were happy because they will be moving back to Georgia, which is closer to home than where they were before!

The Tapestry House reception site was transformed as they added their beautiful, homemade centerpieces to the room!  Each one was made from a wine bottle with twinkle lights inserted inside them!  They had a tiny battery-operated switch on the outside so they could easily be turned on and off.  The couple also had sticks with tiny blooms that reminded me of cherry blossoms out the top as well as a couple bigger flowers and feathers.  Due to these amazing centerpieces and the color choices, the room looked so romantic!  Take a look!

Their wedding cake was also really cool!  You wouldn't know if you looked at it, but only the top layer of the cake is actually real!  The rest was made out of styrofoam and they had a couple sheet cakes in the kitchen so that each guest still received a piece of cake, but the displayed cake was simple and elegant!  What a great way to save a bit of money, yet still have a beautiful cake to display!  We loved working with this couple and hope they are enjoying married life!

Love in Toyland!

Last month, we got to work with a couple and their wonderful families!  With many personal touches for the centerpieces and cakes homemade by the mother of the bride, we loved seeing this wedding come together!  Their colors were eggplant and lavender purples, the favorite color of the bride.  Take a look at the gorgeous room setup!

Their centerpieces were really fun, too!  They had Mr. and Mrs. Potato head, all dressed up in a tux and gown, rubber ducks as pictured here, and Barbie and Ken who were also getting married!  These toys were surrounding cute little purple potted flowers of orchids or pansies.  Their favors were gray, lavender, and eggplant colored m&ms in cute little jars!  How cute are they??

The cake was also very special!  The mother of the bride made it (and the groom's cake which was a ball and chain! ha!) for the couple!  How sweet is that?
We are so glad we got to work with this wonderful couple and their families and really enjoyed all of their personal touches!  Family involvement can really pay off when you have the support of the ones you love!

Rustic Mountain Wedding!

This past month, we had the chance to work with some wonderful couples!  This wedding was really fun to be a part of and we absolutely loved their rustic mountain-inspired wedding!  The blues that they used mimicked the beautiful blue Colorado skies and their centerpieces brought the mountains indoors.  Each table had a wood stump with a jar or vase filled with pinecones or little lanterns.  Check out these awesome centerpieces that the family put together before the ceremony began!

Here's one example of a larger vase that they filled with pinecones and sticks.

Here's an example of one of the smaller table centerpieces with jars filled with pinecones and tied with twine surrounding a cute lantern filled with pinecones as well.

The cake/dessert table was also very unique and fun, incorporating the mountain theme here as well!  The tree stumps and pinecones, as well as the blue overlays made this table tie into the rest of the guest tables.

The couple had a larger bunt cake that they cute, but they also have a lot of little bunt cakes for each guest in various flavors.  This way, each guest could try whatever flavor they liked best, just like mini cupcakes, except that they were bunt cakes!  How great does this look?!

We really enjoyed being a part of this rustic mountain wedding!  We were so inspired by their unique centerpieces and the cake table display was gorgeous!  We wish this couple all the best for their future together!

Pretty Personal Touches!

This past weekend, we had a busy weekend full of wonderful events!  This one had a ton of fun, personal details from photos of the couple as they grew up to painted wine bottle table numbers on each table!  Their colors were pink and green, but instead of letting the colors overwhelm the room, they added pops of color to their black and white linens! Take a look at the room, guest tables, and head table centerpieces!!

This couple loves the mountains, so it made perfect sense for their cake topper to be a couple kissing while dressed in ski gear and holding their skis!  The cake also had little snowflakes on it to bring in the mountain winter feel.  The groom actually proposed to the bride on Copper Mountain while they were out skiing!

For their favors, the couple gave each guest a delicious cake pop which is basically strawberry cake mixed with frosting, rolled into a ball, dipped in chocolate, and placed on a stick!  We heard that these were a HUGE hit with all of the guests!  They enjoyed snacking on them while dancing the night away at this evening event!  Congratulations to the both of you and thanks for spending your lovely evening with us!!
