Bring on the Rain

This past weekend there were three weddings that encountered rain. It was still comfortable outside; so all three brides chose to leave their ceremonies outside. In true Colorado fashion, the weather was unpredictable.

Our Monday bride and groom decided to have their wedding outside as well, but it was bright and beautiful on their day. That is until two minutes into their ceremony. Suddenly, out of nowhere it started to lightly sprinkle. There were several large claps of thunder and all of the guests gasped. The ceremony was over in about eight minutes (thank goodness) because directly following the end of their ceremony it started pouring! We had just finished the group photo and the guests were headed into the reception pavilion when it started really raining hard. We grabbed large umbrellas for the bridal party and got everyone into the house quickly.

Whether it is sunny, raining, or even snowing outside the staff at Tapestry House will do everything we can to make your wedding the day you dreamt of. If you wanted an outdoor ceremony more than anything, we have umbrellas and gray fleece blankets we can hand out to guests and we will even wipe down everyone's chair before they sit in it, so they are not sitting in puddles. Rain really does make for great photos because it makes everything more vibrant! So bring on the rain!

  1. I could not agree more that rain makes for beautiful photos! Incredibly romantic, and when in clears, you could get lucky and get a rainbow! And I also agree that the Tapestry House staff is prepared for ANYTHING and will make your day run as smoothly as possible. I've shot weddings there in all kinds of weather and have seen them at their absolute best.
