Caramel-Covered Creativity!

Back in August, we had a very bright, fun wedding here at Tapestry House.  The couple was absolutely wonderful to work with and we loved so many of their personal, added touches that made the reception room pop!  First of all, their colors were blue and red which really lent itself towards a wedding reception party!  The vibrant colors made the room pop and come alive as they toasted, ate, and danced!  The bride's friend made all of the favors herself...and they were caramel apples!  She took a lot of time out of her busy schedule in order to cover each and every apple with a coating of caramel, placed them in cute plastic bags, and tied each with a personalized, stamped tag and ribbon!  They looked beautiful on the tables and the guests all really seemed to enjoy them!

Another fun aspect of this wedding was the beautiful, delicious cake!  The cake had so many cool details on it and perfectly matched this couple's color scheme.  They displayed it between two large wooden branches which held some hanging flowers in their colors.  It was a great way to frame the cake!  We'd love to know what you think about this color scheme and the favor idea!!  Leave a comment below to let us know!  Congratulations to this lovely couple!

They Shoot, They Score!!

This past weekend, we had a bride and groom who were both really big hockey fans!  Now, for any of you who follow hockey fairly closely, one of the Colorado Avalanche hockey team's biggest rivals is the Detroit Red Wings.  Even though the groom is an Avs fan and the bride is a Red Wings fan, they still managed to find that opposites do attract!  Their cake really embodied their love of hockey and of both teams!  Their blue and red cupcakes, hockey sticks on the cake, Red Wings logo "bride"(dressed in a veil) and Avalanche logo "groom" (wearing a tie and top hat) complete the whole look and tie it all together!

We love the details that this couple put into their wedding as well as how they met!  The bride and groom were both working out at the same gym.  One day, they were introduced by one of their mutual friends, a man who ended up being one of their groomsmen!  The couple hit it off and are now happily married.  At each place setting, the couple had a bell for their guests to ring if they wanted them to share in a kiss.  They also had an "I Spy" game at each table which was something we hadn't seen before.  It listed pictures that they wanted to have taken that the photographer might have missed such as a picture of everyone at their table, a picture of the bride and groom kissing, and a photo of the best (and worst) dancers on the floor!  This idea really excited the guests and they loved being photographers for the night!  We wish this couple all the best!!
