A couple weeks ago we had a couple here at Tapestry House who had some really fun personal, homemade touches that really added to their wedding! Their colors were purples, yellow, and white which set the scene for a beautiful reception. The centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous with a mix of wildflowers and sunflowers, playing off of the colors they chose. Each table was draped in a maize-colored tablecloth with cream-colored napkins. We loved how cute it all looked together!!
One of the family members made the favors for their wedding: a jar of homemade pear jam featuring the couple's names and the saying "The Perfect Pear" (what a fun play on words!!). Using some of the same material that covers the jars, the bride made mason jar candle holders which she wrapped with the purple and white fabrics and some twine! The glow from the candles inside them was beautiful as evening fell and the room grew darker. Our twinkle lights and their candles illuminated the room as the guests enjoyed dancing the night away!
The bride also made little signs to hang on the back of the bride and groom's chairs at the reception. We loved the look of them against the yellow tablecloths and it really helped to set their table apart from the others!! Their cake table was also a large focus of the evening because not only did they have a cake that tied in the sunflowers from their centerpieces on the tables, but they also had a couple other desserts for their guests to sample! This wedding was a joy to take part in and we wish this "pear" all the best in their journey together!!
