You never know what the Colorado weather might do, especially in the summertime! But no matter if it is raining or the sunshine is out, we at Tapestry House know how to handle it! During this couple's ceremony, it rained a little bit, but we pulled out our clear umbrellas and it worked out perfectly! Luckily, the sunshine came out for pictures after the ceremony as well! It looked beautiful! For more pictures, make sure to check out Tom K. Photography! You can also visit our Pintrest page for more wedding inspiration!

Carmen + Nick: For the Love of Peacocks and Music!
One of the special parts of our job is seeing couples showcase things that mean the most to them and being able to help them set all their special details perfectly! This particular couple has many passions, but one of their biggest shared interests is their love of music. Each table featured one of their favorite concert venues such as Red Rocks instead of table numbers and they brought in a live band, Archie Funker, for music! They enjoyed dancing the night away and really rocked Tapestry House! Take a look below to see some of the details that they loved and were able to incorporate into their ceremony and reception. Bringing the Beach to Colorado!
Recently, we had a couple who decided to bring their love of the beach and ocean to our Colorado venue! This had something to do with their engagement which happened at a waterfall in Hawaii. The bride said that as soon as they met, she knew he was the one and they were so excited to finally tie the knot! Every detail of their wedding reflected their love of the ocean and their engagement spot! They used napkins in various shades of blue at each guest table with white linens. Their centerpieces consisted of sand-filled bowls with shells and stones with a candle in the center. Their favors also offered guests a few candies, candles, and shells from the beach! Take a look at the room layout!

Their head table stood out as a sea of blue tablecloths, similar sand and shell centerpieces, more candles, and a beautiful net of starfish! Their wedding cake also tied in the blue colors of the ocean! It had starfish cascading down the front (pictured below). They also had a groom's cake with the Harley Davidson logo since the groom rides motorcycles! Their guest book table had fans for the warm weather and papers that told the story of the starfish. It was so much fun to have the beach be brought to Fort Collins! Congratulations to the two of you! We loved being a part of your big day!

Delighting in all that is Vintage and Rustic!
Earlier this month, we worked with a couple that decided to create a beautiful vintage and rustic vibe for their big day! We loved the personal details that they put into transforming the reception space into something that matched their theme! From the cake table to the guest tables, everything reflected the vintage and rustic elements.
Each guest table was covered with a burlap topper which the bride rented. Their table numbers were cute, little wooden hearts and each table was filled with candles! They created such a romantic glow as the summer sun set and the stars came out! They also had herb plants at each table for guests to take home at the end of the night! From basil to peppermint, purple sage to thyme, guests LOVED the idea of getting to take a plant home at the end of the night to grow in their gardens (and watch the couple's love grow as well)!
In addition to the burlap overlays, candlelight, and herb plants, the head table also featured the bride's beautiful bouquet! The pastel pinks, whites, and greens looked beautiful together!
We also loved their cake tables! They brought in a vintage, lace linen for the top of the cake table to incorporate their theme! They had a couple of smaller cakes on the table as well as larger ones in the back so that all the guests could pick their favorite cake flavor! This couple enjoyed dancing the night away with all of their wonderful guests! They seemed to have a ton of fun and we are so glad that we were able to work with them! Congratulations, you two!

"Mint" to Be!
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of working with a wonderful couple who had a ton of beautiful, personal details! We love the mint color (or celedon according to our napkin selections!) that they used for napkins, place cards, menu cards, and other personal details. Their color combination was simply gorgeous! They decided to place most of the tables on the patio rather than inside the pavilion so that the pavilion could be used for dancing! They also had a live band! Check out the room set-up and the beautiful centerpieces!
Their sweetheart table was also extra special! They ended up refurnishing two chairs from a thrift shop, painting them ivory and adding plush padding in their wedding colors! It looked very regal at their head table!
Another one of my favorite details from this wedding was their memory table display. The groom actually built the wooden display himself! He collected weathered pieces of wood and then hung photos of their loved ones on it. He said it took quite a few weeks to make because he would get the last screw in and the wood would split. He'd then have to take it apart and start with another new piece of wood. Luckily, the end product was worth all of the stress and it turned out beautifully! They displayed it near the cake table. He also made a nice wooden sign in order to point guests in the direction of the reception, bar, restrooms, appetizers, and other important areas during their wedding reception!
Congratulations, Brittany & Preston! We are so glad we got to share in your special day and loved all of your beautiful personal touches!

Precious Moments!
In the middle of May, we had the chance to work with a fun couple on their wonderful wedding! Their colors were cream, navy, and peach and we loved how they incorporated all the colors into their reception decor! The bride had made a lot of very special, personal details for the reception and we think it turned out beautifully!
Here are a couple photos from their table designs! They opted for the upgrade of chavari chairs, but used our plates, silverware, and linens. Instead of a mirror in the center of the table for their centerpieces, they used a napkin square, which looked awesome with the bud vases and cream and peach colored flowers on them! Take a look!

Outside, the bride bought a bunch of mason jars and tied little nametags on them with the couple's initials on them. Guests could then use those as their drinking glasses for the night and then take them home as favors at the end of the event! It was a really cute and special idea!
Their cake was also a huge hit! It featured a precious moments (hence the blog title!) cake topper of a bride and groom peach and cream colored flowers. Guests all said it tasted delicious, too! Congratulations to this wonderful couple and may your marriage be full of many precious moments spent together!

School's Out for Summer (but the weddings are just beginning!)
This past weekend at Tapestry House, we had the pleasure to work with a wonderful couple who both happened to be teachers! It was really fun to see their wedding come together, with a gorgeous color palette of navy and lime green and pink accents! One of our favorite parts about this wedding was their story of how they ended up together. Both of them are teachers at an elementary school. One of their elementary students told them, "hey Mr. so-and-so and Ms. so-and-so, you are both single. You two should get together!" Well, this little student was right (and was invited to attend their wedding!) because this couple is perfect for each other! Check out these beautiful photos by April O'Hare Photography!

To keep with the teacher theme, they used many different decorations that incorporated their career into the wedding decor! From classroom-type snacks (goldfish crackers, graham crackers and frosting, etc.) to a chalkboard listing the names of the entire bridal party (and the "absent" student, their dog) and the centerpieces on the tables (apples of course!), this wedding was perfect for this teacher couple! Take a look!
Congratulations, Kayci and Jonathan! We were so excited to be a part of your wedding and hope that you had an awesome time! Special thanks to April O'Hare Photography for providing the lovely photos!
