Brittany & Preston: Going Green!

Now we don't pick favorites at Tapestry House, but we did really enjoy a lot of the details from this wedding, which is why we wanted to be able to show you!  While we already featured a few of our personal photos of table decor and fun wedding details, we fell in love with Tom K's photographs from this event as well and couldn't help but share them!  The couple arrived for their reception in a 1948 Chrysler New Yorker convertible in a beautiful mint green color which matched a lot of their wedding details!  Take a look at a few photos here or for more, visit Tom K's blog!  One of our favorite details was the very sweet love notes that the groom wrote on the bottom of the bride's shoes (pictured below).  It was a very special surprise that she thoroughly enjoyed!

"Mint" to Be!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of working with a wonderful couple who had a ton of beautiful, personal details!  We love the mint color (or celedon according to our napkin selections!) that they used for napkins, place cards, menu cards, and other personal details.  Their color combination was simply gorgeous!  They decided to place most of the tables on the patio rather than inside the pavilion so that the pavilion could be used for dancing!  They also had a live band!  Check out the room set-up and the beautiful centerpieces!

Their sweetheart table was also extra special!  They ended up refurnishing two chairs from a thrift shop, painting them ivory and adding plush padding in their wedding colors!  It looked very regal at their head table!

Another one of my favorite details from this wedding was their memory table display.  The groom actually built the wooden display himself!  He collected weathered pieces of wood and then hung photos of their loved ones on it.  He said it took quite a few weeks to make because he would get the last screw in and the wood would split.  He'd then have to take it apart and start with another new piece of wood.  Luckily, the end product was worth all of the stress and it turned out beautifully!  They displayed it near the cake table.  He also made a nice wooden sign in order to point guests in the direction of the reception, bar, restrooms, appetizers, and other important areas during their wedding reception!

Congratulations, Brittany & Preston!  We are so glad we got to share in your special day and loved all of your beautiful personal touches!
