At a recent wedding the Maid of Honor gave a heartfelt and wonderful toast. Except, once the planned portion of her speech was finished she continued to speak. She said some very nice things, but it became clear that she had switch onto auto-pilot and was searching for new things to say. Finally the father of the bride (and the Maid of Honor) stood up and said "give her a mic and you won't get it back! That's our karaoke queen." :) Everyone laughed and the Maid of Honor finished up very eloquently, and rather quickly too. It meant a lot to the bride to hear her sister say such wonderful things and once she passed the microphone off to the Best Man, the two siblings had a long and very sweet hug, there were more than a few tears to boot.
* Later that night at the reception everyone was dancing and the DJ passed the microphone around and the crowd took turns singing to "Don't Stop Believin''" by Journey. Needless to say, the Maid of Honor blew everyone away and she received a standing ovation!
