This week's bride and groom were amazing!! However, it was their flower girl and ring bearer who really stole the show. This couple had decided to move their ceremony into the reception pavilion because it was bitter cold outside. There is still a "grand enterance" through a set of wooden doors for the entire bridal party with the indoor ceremony.
We sent all 9 (!!) sets of bridal party through the doors and then it was time for the little ones. The ring bearer must have been about 2 years old and the flower girl about 18 months or so, just toddling on her little legs. We swing open the doors for them and the little girl just looks up at our staff member waiting with them. The staff member tries to convince the little boy to take her hand and lead her down the aisle but he is DETERMINED not to touch her. The staff member takes his hand and tries to put the little girls hand in his and he pulled away real quick!!! With this look on his face like, "UUUMMMM! Don't you know girls have cooties!!"
ALL 153 of their guests started laughing hysterically since they all have been waiting for someone to come down the aisle... and they have spotted the two little ones. They did actually get successfully down the aisle together (though not touching). Such a cute moment in the couple's day! We wish this couple all the happiness in the world, and remember - you're never too old (or too young) to hold hands!
