This past weekend we celebrated many wedding ceremonies and receptions here at Tapestry House, but this one definitely had some unique qualities to it that we really enjoyed!! Their colors were silver, pink, and blue and they were able to decorate the room with many personal touches. They made some really fun balls made of stiffened string to place around mason jars filled with blue stones and a floating candle! DIY centerpieces take a lot of work, but when the affect is like this, it is totally worth it! Take a look at how beautiful they are!!
Not only did they decide to create their own centerpieces, but their ceremony also had some fun, personal touches. The groom is works in law enforcement, so a lot of his buddies from work were either groomsmen or wedding guests. Waiting for the bride's moment to walk down the aisle, the bride and her father came up with a little surprise for the groom! The father of the bride put one half of a pair of handcuffs on his daughter's wrist. She carefully hid them behind her bouquet and beautifully floated down the aisle. As the groom went to shake the father's hand as he gave his daughter away, though, he handcuffed the bride and groom together! The guests all burst into laughter, as did the groom! It was a fun way to showcase the couple's unique qualities. Luckily, someone also had the key to the handcuffs and took them off before the couple said their vows, but it was still a lot of fun!
We are so excited for this couple to learn from each other and continue to laugh with each other and we're so glad we were able to be a part of their special day! We wish them both all the best!!
