Lessons in Lock Picking

Tapestry House has many unique traditions that we offer our couples.  One such example is our "Group Photo" where we gather all of your guests on the back lawn of the Tapestry House.  The photographer is perched up in a second story balcony so they can get everyone in your photo.  It is a great way to remember everyone who was a part of your big day and it is one of our most popular photos.

What do you do when you have 204 guests waiting to take the group photo in extreme heat and the bedroom door that leads to the balcony where photographers stand is locked!?! (Bedrooms are not locked in the house, therefore managers do not have keys for the rooms on key-rings).

Well, you pick the lock!!    Sooo.... we tried to pick the lock with a hair pick (too flexible), the antlers from a small deer sculpture in the house (slightly too big), and even a bobby pin (too thin).  The item that opened the door!????.... bottom of an eye-shadow brush!  We got the photographer onto the balcony and everyone cheered!  It made for a great photo with everyone so excited and clapping!

We will do everything in our power (including breaking into our own house and rooms :)) to make your day as memorable as possible!
