Where, Oh Where, Has The Officiant Gone?

Your wedding day is a reflection of you as a couple. You have debated over the flowers, the colors and even the person who will perform your ceremony. What do you do when your officiant falls very ill and is taken to the hospital only 40 minutes before your wedding...??? IMPROVISE. :)

One couple this past weekend had this exact scenario happen to them. Luckily, they had invited a youth pastor from their church to attend the wedding as a guest. Needless to say, it certainly wasn't what the couple had envisioned, but it turned out beautifully. The officiant/friend knew a lot about the bride and was able to paint a beautiful picture of the caring and kind relationship that the bride and groom shared. If he had not informed the crowd that he was a stand-in, no one would have known otherwise. It was all the buzz later in the evening and everyone had a common topic to talk about and share. It was a great way for all of their guests to bond and share and get to know one another.

To the couple, CONGRATULATIONS! You are married and that is the most important thing! You both looked amazing and we are so happy for you two.
