Two people in love make TWO people. Not ONE "whole" person. Each person comes into the relationship with their beliefs, religion, history, family and more. To think that you were half a person before can sometimes undervalue what an individual can bring to a marriage. That is why this past weekend's wedding was so much fun!
The bride and the groom did a great job of representing both of their personalities. The groom was from Tehran, Iran, and the bride was from Riverton, Wyoming. They incorporated both cultures and really showcased the importance of both communities in their lives. They participated in a ceremonial ritual of feeding each other honey from their fingers, a cake dance, and the mother of the groom brought beautiful tapestries from Iran to cover all of the tables. These are just a few examples of their chosen rituals.
Congratulations to these two people! We are so happy for you both and wish you joy in each other. Keep celebrating your love and sharing your amazing gifts with each other. For it is two, who ultimately face the world together, not just one.
Thank you to Tom K Photography for the stunning photos!
