I'm sure we have all heard Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." Its a beautiful song and a gorgeous rendition, so it always makes us smile. However, we just heard the best version of that song ever!!
One couple's young daughter (maybe 8 years old?) played the chorus to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on the piano during their ceremony and it was the sweetest sounding song we had ever heard. She was slightly hesitant in the beginning, picking out her notes one by one. As she progressed, her confidence grew and at the end she looked up at her parents and beamed.
She was so proud of herself, and rightfully so. She had just managed, in under 1 minute, to breathe new life into a classic song! It was so sweet and charming, everyone erupted into applause. She walked back to her seat blushing!! :) To the "new" family; we hope you forever live where "troubles melt like lemon drops"!
